MSUFCU Hosts Ronald McDonald House of Mid-Michigan's Annual Run for the House Race
On Sunday, April 19, MSU Federal Credit Union was proud to host the Run for the House Race supporting Ronald McDonald House of Mid-Michigan. The morning included three races: the kids' sprint, kids' mile, 5K and 10K walk/run/ruck across MSUFCU's Headquarters campus and East Lansing. The race saw its highest number of registrants, over 640 racers, for both the virtual and in-person opportunities.

Ronald McDonald House of Mid-Michigan provides a home-away-from-home for families with a child currently hospitalized or seeking treatment. Their mission is to bring safety, security, home-cooked meals, and space for families to comfortably stay.

Over 27 Credit Union employees volunteer their time over the race weekend, handing out race packets, assisting with parking and registration, or cheering racers on as course marshals.

MSUFCU is proud to support RMHMM's belief that families are stronger when they are together, aiding in the healing process.

Peckham's 25th Annual Art from the Heart Exhibit Opens at MSUFCU Headquarters 2 Building
MSU Federal Credit Union is proud to host Peckham's 25th annual Art from the Heart Exhibit. The Art from the Heart program provides opportunities for individuals with barriers to explore their creativity, build confidence, and experience professional and personal growth. The Peckham Community Partnership Foundation has supported this program since 2000 and continues to uphold Peckham's mission while providing the flexibility to meet needs through a holistic approach to vocational rehabilitation.

Through MSUFCU's partnership with Peckham, artists are given the opportunity to share their work with the community by displaying and selling their pieces as part of an exhibit. This also opens the door for community members to connect directly with the artists and experience their creativity firsthand. As part of the celebration, MSUFCU hosted a reception on April 15, where attendees met featured artists, learned about their work, and supported the program's continued impact. Stop in to view the art now through May 20 during regular business hours at MSUFCU Headquarters 2 located at 3899 Coolidge Rd in East Lansing.

MSUFCU is proud to partner with Peckham to bring their Art from the Heart program to life and give artists a safe, judgement free space to create art at their own pace.

OU Credit Union Supports Family Health Partnership Clinic with Northern Illinois Donation Drive
During the month of March, MSUFCU supported Family Health Partnership Clinic with a donation drive in Northern Illinois. The donation drive served to supply program materials, such as nonperishable food items, outerwear, and office supplies. Over 32 items were donated across 5 branches, with the generosity of members, employees, and community members.

Family Health Partnership Clinic is one of MSUFCU's first partners in Northern Illinois. The group practice provides primary health care to those without health insurance. Services are free of charge or charged on a sliding fee scale. They operate with staff and volunteer physicians, nurses, and dentists. Their mission is to reduce the negative impact of poor access to care by providing a broad range of services. Suzanne Hoban, Founder and Executive Director of Family Health Partnership Clinic told the Credit Union, "Thank you for celebrating 30 years of caring and ensuring that everyone has access to high quality healthcare."

MSUFCU is proud to support Family Health Partnership Clinic and their vision of improving the Northern Illinois community's health.
Student Voices Take Center Stage at City Opera House
On April 12, the Traverse City community gathered at the historic City Opera House to celebrate the creativity and talent of six local high school students during the annual Young Playwrights Page 2 Stage Showcase. The event featured original one-act plays written by students from across northern Michigan and brought their stories to life through performances by local theatre talent.

The Young Playwrights Page 2 Stage Lab provides aspiring young writers with the opportunity to develop original scripts and work alongside mentors from the theater community. This year's students collaborated with mentors from Northern Michigan and Chicago, gaining valuable insight into the writing and performance process while refining their work for the stage. As part of the showcase, participating students received certificates of achievement, a $100 check, and took part in a talkback session with the audience, where they answered questions and gathered feedback on their plays.

Since 2020, MSUFCU has proudly supported a range of programs at the Opera House, including Platinum Series season performances and youth education initiatives, helping ensure young voices have a platform and access to arts education.

MSUFCU Celebrates Strikeout Baseball's Opening Day
MSU Federal Credit Union is proud to support Strikeout Baseball and the Opening Day Celebration at Ferris Park on Saturday, May 9. Founded in 2019 and officially opened in 2025, Strikeout Baseball is a nonprofit dedicated to creating a fun, inclusive environment for people of all ages to learn and enjoy baseball.

The goal of Strikeout Baseball is to teach youth the game without requiring the full 18 players traditionally needed to play. The newly designed stadium includes a smaller baseball field where players try to hit the ball into different zones, each earning a designated number of points. There is no cost to participate, which further helps encourage outdoor activity, character building, and teamwork. Strikeout Baseball can not only unite youth but also create a lasting impact and become a strong pillar in the community. Join us for the Opening Day Celebration on Saturday, May 9, 12 - 4 p.m., at Ferris Park in Lansing.

MSUFCU is honored to be a Strikeout Baseball partner, supporting their mission to bring the community together through inclusive sports. We look forward to participating in opening day.
