2026 MSU All Sales Competition
On February 20, sixty MSU students stepped into a tournament style sales competition to highlight their sales ability. Participants engage in twenty-minute sales conversations with buyers where they must quickly build rapport, uncover needs, position value, and confidently close. In previous years, students have presented solutions such as technology services and payroll platforms.

MSUFCU had three employees serve as judges for the third year in a row across the three main sales rounds. Serving as a judge in this competition allows for us to give students quick and detailed feedback regardless of whether they advance to the next round. Students are able to gain exposure, feedback, and networking opportunities with multiple corporate partners and sponsors of the Sales Leadership Minor.

While the competition itself lasts just one day, its impact extends far beyond. Students are able to request mentorship for the semester or job shadows in their preferred field. MSUFCU works closely with the students involved in the Sales Leadership Minor to provide professional development helping students turn classroom knowledge into real world confidence.

MSUFCU Sponsors Chicago Voyagers Annual Luncheon
For nearly two years, Oakland University Credit Union has partnered with Apple Developer Academy to bring a variety of financial education and career enhancing workshops to the heart of downtown Detroit. This includes topics such as credit, account management, fraud prevention and more. These workshops are led on sight by OU Credit Union's Financial Educators. Along with the financial literacy focus, OU Credit Union also features speakers from different departments to provide professional development focused on resume building and mock interviews, digital development, and insight into capital fundraising.

Program participants have given feedback on their experience while joining the sessions. Some have noted improvements to their individual relationship with finances along with having more confidence for future job interviews. As this partnership continues to grow, OU Credit Union looks forward to assisting more learners in the future with their financial education needs.

MSUFCU is the Standing Ovation Sponsor at Brighton Center for the Performing Arts
Since 2023, MSUFCU has been the Standing Ovation sponsor for the Brighton Center for the Performing Arts' annual performance seasons, helping to attract new talent and drive community engagement for the Brighton community. Arts and Culture is a key pillar of MSUFCU's charitable giving because these experiences are essential to building thriving communities where our members want to live and work.

The BCPA was created to bring quality arts and entertainment experiences to Livingston County, providing vital community education opportunities for students in Brighton Area Schools. As the performing arts branch of Brighton Area Schools, the BCPA is located on the Brighton High School campus. With event lineups featuring concert-style performances, comedians, magicians, theatrical performances, musical theater, and more, the BCPA brings the community together for laughter, joy, and unique cultural experiences.

For the 2025-2026 season, the BCPA has partnered with local nonprofit organizations to give them additional community exposure and to donate a portion of all ticket sales to the featured nonprofit for each show. Additionally, attendees are encouraged to bring physical goods and to purchase concessions to support these organizations. Featured organizations include: Tools for Veterans, Toys for Tots, the BCPA Tech Club, Veterans Connected, and the Livingston County Animal Shelter. Learn more at their website.
